產(chǎn)品介紹 The protein encoded by this gene is a G-protein coupled receptor involved in the regulation of feeding behavior. The encoded protein binds the hypothalamic neuropeptides orexin A and orexin B. A related gene (HCRTR1) encodes a G-protein coupled receptor that selectively binds orexin A. [provided by RefSeq, Jan 2009]

Function:
Moderately selective excitatory receptor for orexin-A and, with a lower affinity, for orexin-B neuropeptide. Seems to be exclusively coupled to the G(q) subclass of heteromeric G proteins, which activates the phospholipase C mediated signaling cascade.

Subcellular Location:
Cell membrane; Multi-pass membrane protein.

食欲素受體(OXR)Orexin receptor—是一種G蛋白偶合受體. 下丘腦是調(diào)節(jié)飲食及能量平衡的中樞.學(xué)者認(rèn)為:在下丘腦可促進(jìn)食欲且來(lái)源于同一前體的兩種新神經(jīng)肽:食欲素A和B,它們可激活兩種密切相關(guān)且與G蛋白偶聯(lián)的細(xì)胞表面受體(OX1R,OX2R).含Orexin的神經(jīng)細(xì)胞在下丘腦腹外側(cè)呈對(duì)稱的不連貫分布. 在飲食反饋調(diào)節(jié)中具有重要作用.食欲素與其它影響進(jìn)食的神經(jīng)肽之間存在錯(cuò)綜復(fù)雜的關(guān)系.它在增加攝食、飲水、調(diào)節(jié)睡眠覺(jué)醒周期、生殖、體溫、血壓和感覺(jué)等方面有廣泛作用.
